ABOUT

Dialogue in the Dark Singapore is a social enterprise that provides experiential learning activities to develop empathy and promote social inclusion. It was first founded in Frankfurt, Germany and brought into Singapore in 2009. It is the only branch to be located inside an educational institute, located in Ngee Ann Polytechnic. It hires visually impaired people as guides and final year polytechnic students as interns to manage the company.

My job as an Operations Intern in Dialogue in the Dark Singapore (DiDsg), is mainly to handle the operations and logistics of programmes, from working with clients, to the setting up of the different activities, I work at the back-end operations of the company.

In addition, I work in my specialised departments, Marketing and Programmes. In Marketing, I manage and develop content (post design, filming and video editing) on social media pages such as Instagram and TikTok. In addition, I assist in audio editing and recording in special projects such as the audio in one of the exhibition's rooms, and during marketing filming. In Programmes, I assist in handling the logistics and setting up of each activity, as well as giving out roles for each intern during programmes.
